Lots has happened to Mountain Lodge since our last update two weeks ago. Not only have the exterior walls of the second floor been built but Mountain Lodge now has a roof!
This past week, on Wednesday July 13th, a large crane spent 14 hours at Medeba installing 59 trusses and 8 truss ladders for a total of 67 units. We were blessed with a beautiful day without any rain. The sunlight from a long July day was needed because we had only installed just over half of the units by dinner time at 5:00 p.m. But the speed of installing the trusses increased dramatically in the evening allowing us to finish by 9:00 p.m.
Pretty much everyone who visits Medeba these days expresses their excitement to see the progress of Mountain Lodge which continues to happen alongside Summer Camp. These are exciting days indeed!
Tours continue to be offered all summer on each Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon during the opening and closing of each Summer Camp week. Be sure to come and check out the progress for yourself.
